I believe that there are three main components to building relationships: Trust, Credibility, Authority.  When you do what you say you're going to do, you earn your clients' Trust.  When you have your Trust from your previous clients that will lead to your Credibility with past, current and future clients.  When you've been in the industry as long as I have and have done as many deals as I have then you build your Credibility.  When you combine the Trust from your clients with the Credibility of doing what you do extremely well, you then become an Authority.
